Nordland County stand

The Arena Nordland stand consists of a brilliant representation of the seafood industry in County Nordland. The 150 m2 large stand for operators from Nordland will be an exciting and comprehensive meeting place for all who visit Aqua Nor 2015.

It is now ten years since County Nordland had a joint stand at Aqua Nor. Mr. Olav Nyholmen, professional group leader for Aquaculture and Fisheries in Nordland County says that the rebirth of Arena Nordland was caused by a number of changes in the industry. “During the past few years business has been extremely good for the industry, and the interest in getting exposure of the industry is now back,” says Nyholmen.

Showing the variety in the county
Fiskeriparken AS (The Fisheries Park Ltd) and project manager Stine Petrikke Breivik have been given the responsibility for planning, coordination and implementation of the joint stand. “Our main intention is to promote the seafood county Nordland. The exhibitors at the stand wish to be visible for their existing customers and at the same time create an environment for attracting new clients. Our objective is quite simply to build our network and create attention for all the fantastic operators in our county. By pooling our resources we achieve both economic savings and we’ll have the opportunity to show the wide variety of products and services we provide,” says Breivik.

Debates and discussions
Arena Nordland participated in the Nor-Fishing fisheries exhibition last year, and Breivik says they plan to build on the many popular activities shown at the stand last year. “Most likely we will have panel debates as well as professional discussions at the stand. In addition, we want our stand to be a meeting place for exhibitors, their guests and all other visitors.”

Tasting seafood
Local chef from Vesterålen, Ringo Haupt, will also be present on the stand. He has been a regular part of Arena Nordland on several occasions, and this year he will be serving food based on raw materials from different producers in the county. “Everybody who has visited our stand and tasted Ringo’s seafood know that this experience alone can be worth a visit to Arena Nordland,” brags Breivik.

Fiskeriparken AS is still open for confirmation from more participants, but at the moment they can confirm the following participation at the stand in Hall G-705:
